Oak Creek’s FBLA teams dominate at their Regional Competition

By Riya Lahoti

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is one of the largest clubs at Oak Creek High School with over 100 members. During the first weekend of February 2020, the members of FBLA attended the Regional Competition at Muskego High School. The competition assesses a broad range of business and career-related areas, and with such a talent-diverse group, it wasn’t a surprise that many of Oak Creek’s students placed to proudly represent their high school. A few even advanced to the State Competition which will take place in Madison.

This event featured not only a competition but also guest speakers, leadership workshops, and scavenger hunt available to every student. This year’s guest speaker at RLC was Nathan Harris, founder of the local software company Ease. He talked about his inspiring journey and advised students on how to achieve exponential success. Personally, my favorite part of RLC was the scavenger hunt because it was an amazing opportunity to meet other students who have the same business interests as myself.
