The opening week of the Oak Creek High School Theatre Program’s production of Fiddler on the Roof has been a great success! It lives up to the reputation created by the students involved, having sold out completely even before opening night. Fiddler on the Roof is based on Sholom Aleichem’s Tevye and his Daughters and is set in the Pale of Settlement in Imperial Russia around 1905. It follows the story of Tevye, father of five daughters, who struggles with tradition and change, believing that tradition is what allows them to survive in his small village of Anatevka, but also is unwilling to forsake his children. This musical is a classic that must be seen, even if not at Oak Creek.
Oak Creek High School photographer and senior Joey Endres captured the essence of the production throughout its stages in fantastic, soulful photos that nearly bring still images to life.
