FBLA — Popular and Experienced

By: Ranwantjit Singh and Deangelo Smith

Oak Creek High School’s FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) is one of the more popular clubs at OCHS, and has held a number of competitions over the past years: RLC, SLC, and NLC (Regional, State, National Leadership Conference). Sometimes within a calendar year, FBLA holds almost 70 different events. Participants might be evaluated on something as specific as the objective from a test, all the way to full presentations and speeches. There are even FBLA chapters in China and other foreign countries, which supports how worldwide this club is.

Sam Rewolinski, Cameron Schneider, and Jacob Rottmann all placed first in their respective events in the most recent FBLA competition. The next competition will be at the state level – the SLC – scheduled to be held March 28th and 29th in Madison, Wisconsin. This year’s national competition that follows will be held in Chicago, Illinois. FBLA members at OCHS mentioned that special thanks should go to Ms. Stiebs, the advisor to this group. The officers and members of FBLA are very thankful for all the work she puts in for this group. If anyone is interested in this organization, they can contact Ms. Stiebs or any of its members for more information, or they can go to fbla-pbl.org.
